DEBBIE (narrating):
Welcome back to Generations of Grumbles, the podcast where family bonding is tested in the most haunted of placesâwaiting rooms, pharmacies, and today⊠the tech corner of doom.
Todayâs episode: Tech Support CrankaTsuris: The SĂ©ance of Silicon.
Because when your computer stops working, your sanity follows.
đ„ïž Segment 1: The Setup
[SFX: Computer fan whirring, ominous beeping, dog barking faintly]
DEBBIE:
We gathered around Mortyâs ancient desktop.
It hasnât been updated since the Bush administration.
The screen flickered. The Wi-Fi wheezed.
Max wore gloves. Zoe brought stickers.
And Schmutzy unplugged the router with his tail.
We were ready.
đź Segment 2: Mortyâs Rituals
MORTY:
To fix the computer, we must chant âControl-Alt-Deleteâ three times while holding a floppy disk.
DEBBIE:
Mortyâs wearing a Bluetooth headset that isnât connected to anything.
He says it helps him âchannel the tech spirits.â
Princess Tsuris sat on the keyboard and opened 17 tabs.
One of them was in Hungarian.
đ§ Segment 3: Maxâs Clean Room Protocol
MAX:
Nobody touch anything.
Iâve sanitized the mouse, the keyboard, and the air around it.
DEBBIE:
Heâs waving a UV wand like a lightsaber.
Schmutzy tried to lick it.
Max screamed and retreated to the hallway.
đ§ Segment 4: Zoeâs Pop-Up Pandemonium
ZOE:
I clicked a thing and now the screen is sparkly!
DEBBIE:
She downloaded a toolbar called âFairy Glitter Assistant.â
It installed 47 pop-ups and a weather widget for Neptune.
đ± Segment 5: Jakeâs Techno-Tantrum
JAKE:
I tried to fix it remotely.
The system laughed at me.
Then it asked for my soul.
DEBBIE:
Heâs been arguing with a chatbot named Gary for 20 minutes.
Gary only speaks in riddles and sends GIFs of shrugging raccoons.
đŸ Segment 6: Schmutzyâs Interventions
[SFX: Barking, tail thumping, unplugging sound]
SCHMUTZY (barking):
Woof! I fixed it!
I unplugged the thingy!
DEBBIE:
He unplugged the monitor.
Then the printer.
Then the coffee maker.
Barry hasnât had caffeine in 47 minutes.
Weâre in danger.
đ§ Segment 7: Barryâs Existential Reboot
BARRY:
I came for the quiet.
Now Iâm trapped in a digital sĂ©ance with a barking dog and a haunted spreadsheet.
DEBBIE:
He tried to reboot the system by whispering to the surge protector.
Princess Tsuris knocked over his coffee.
Sheâs the real tech support.
đïž Twist Ending
[SFX: Plug clicking in, cheerful startup chime]
DEBBIE:
Just as we were about to give up, Barry plugged in the computer.
It turned on.
Everything worked.
Turns out⊠it wasnât broken.
It was just unplugged.
BARRY (sipping coffee):
I came for the quiet.
I stayed for the chaos.
đïž Outro
DEBBIE:
So whatâs the moral?
Sometimes tech support is just plugging things in.
Sometimes itâs summoning Clippy from the beyond.
And sometimes⊠itâs realizing your dog is the reason your Wi-Fi keeps disappearing.
But if you can survive a haunted desktop, a glitter virus, and a cat who speaks HungarianâŠ
You can survive anything.
Even software updates.
[OUTRO MUSIC: Klezmer with a triumphant modem tone and a bark-meow harmony]
DEBBIE:

Spoiler: Morty replies âKâ to a 47-message thread
