Going Through The Emotions CrankaTsuris

Cranksters, this one’s a laminated spiral of performative grief, ceremonial guilt, and emotionally scripted chaos. “Going Through The Emotions CrankaTsuris” is the Grumbleverse’s tribute to feelings that are felt out of obligation, tears that are scheduled, and scrolls of sadness that were pre-written in Comic Sans.

The Grumbles don’t just go through the motions — they go through the emotions. Loudly. Repetitively. With laminated flair.

Here’s the podcast chapter:

🎙️ Episode 100: “Going Through The Emotions CrankaTsuris”

Tagline: The feelings are rehearsed. The grief is choreographed. And nobody’s sure what they’re actually feeling.

[00:00–00:30] INTRO MUSIC

SFX: Scrolls flutter, sighs echo, brisket bubbles.
BIRDIE: “YOU’RE FEELING IT BECAUSE IT’S ON THE SCHEDULE!”
MUSIC: Klezmer remix of The Emotional Hora — every chorus ends with “I guess I’m sad now.”

[00:30–02:00] OPENING MONOLOGUE

DEBBIE (narrating):
Steven… this is a podcast episode where the Grumbles don’t just go through the motions — they go through the emotions.
Sylvia cries on cue.
Barry graphs his sadness.
Shayna dances “I’m supposed to feel this.”
Grandpa Herschel mutters “I laminated my grief.”
And Birdie squawks “YOU’RE FEELING IT BECAUSE IT’S ON THE SCHEDULE!”

[02:00–05:00] Segment 1: Sylvia’s Scheduled Sadness

SYLVIA:
I cry every Thursday at 3:17pm.
BARRY:
You sobbed during the kugel.
SYLVIA:
It was emotionally efficient.
BIRDIE:
“EFFICIENCY ISN’T EMPATHY!”

[05:00–08:00] Segment 2: Barry’s Sadness Spreadsheet

BARRY:
Column A: Times I felt something.
Column B: Times I pretended to.
Column C: Times nobody noticed either.
SHAYNA:
You formatted your feelings.
BIRDIE:
“FEELINGS AREN’T A CELL VALUE!”

[08:00–11:00] Segment 3: Shayna’s Interpretive Obligation

SHAYNA:
I danced “I guess I’m sad now.”
TINA:
You wore a scroll labeled “Performative Grief.”
SHAYNA:
It was emotionally expressive.
BIRDIE:
“EXPRESSIVE ISN’T AUTHENTIC!”

[11:00–14:00] Segment 4: Grandpa Herschel’s Laminated Grief

GRANDPA HERSCHEL:
I laminated my sadness.
SYLVIA:
You filed it under “Unspoken.”
GRANDPA HERSCHEL:
It was symbolic.
BIRDIE:
“SYMBOLISM IS JUST A FEELING WITH A FONT!”

[14:00–17:00] 🎭 NEW FAMILY EMOTERS

🧃 Cousin Bev:
Brews kombucha labeled “Mild Disappointment.”
She drinks it during ceremonial sighing.

📣 Uncle Morty:
Reads a scroll titled “How I Felt Once.”
It’s laminated. Indexed. Emotionally vague.

🎨 Aunt Goldie:
Unveils a painting titled “Still Life with Obligatory Sadness.”
Now with added brisket glaze.

[17:00–20:00] 🎧 SPONSOR PARODY SEGMENT

VOICEOVER:
This episode is brought to you by FeelTrack™ — the only app that schedules your emotions for maximum social acceptability.
FeelTrack™: Because authenticity is exhausting.

[20:00–26:00] CLOSING MONOLOGUE

DEBBIE (narrating):
In this family, emotions are laminated.
Grief is choreographed.
And nobody’s sure what they’re actually feeling.
So next time someone says “I guess I’m sad now”…
Just squawk louder. Birdie does.

SFX: Scrolls flutter. Kombucha fizzes. Brisket bubbles. Birdie squawks with performative clarity.
